It actually touches a difficult subject, to say art cannot be good nor bad, and right nor wrong. I will not elaborate because I will only ramble on and on (not that anyone is interested in my personal life but I am very interested in this particular topic and am trying to get it through at my university to be able to do a minor Aesthetics (Philosophy of Art) at another university) and get to no conclusion at all but I will simply say that it is hard to define what art is or should be. The Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous simply touched the subject of taste which is a lot easier eliminated with that it is only a personal matter. I don’t like all the art either, I hate some art, and I even think there is something wrong with an attitude towards art that appreciates it all simply for the sake of it being ‘art’. But I agree very much that variety is the word! And we try, thank you!
because my knowledge of that goes as far as ‘Van Gogh was inspired by Japanese illustrations’! I would love to know more but I simply haven’t had any education on it so it’s kind of not my place to post anything about it.
We enjoy it so much as well! thank you for the big compliment.
thank you! how great the blog can evoke so much thought. the original purpose was indeed to show a varied pick of art, from artists of all ages and movements. (well, except that it is still only western art history)
